Our Regular Trips: The trips are from 2 to 14 days
Mountains:
Bei Da Wu Mt: Category 4
Bei Da Wu is the highest peak in Southern Taiwan, (3,090m) and is on the ‘Top 10’ must climbs. Just a two-hour drive from Kaohsiung will get you to the trail head at approx’1,500m. From there a 4,5km hike takes you to the Guei Ku Lodge (2,145m) where you’ll spend the night. A very early morning start is necessary if you want to catch the sunrise. It will take 3-4 hours to cover the 4.5km hike to the main peak. This is quite a tough climb, but you only have to carry your day pack. One hour from the peak you’ll come to a false summit where you’ll see a Japanese shrine which looks like a guillotine. If you have made it this far it is less than an hour to the peak where you are almost guaranteed spectacular views of the east coast and the pyramid- shaped Guan Shan to the north.
